As of September 17, the typhoon and its aftermath have caused severe damage to Bao Viet Insurance’s clients, with a total of 904 compensation cases and estimated payouts of VND 955 billion.
In Quang Ninh alone, Bao Viet Quang Ninh and Bao Viet Dong Bac have recorded 238 compensation cases, with an initial estimated payout of VND 573 billion. The damages primarily include losses to automobiles, homes, construction sites, factories, warehouses, machinery, port facilities, and goods.
Following directives from the Prime Minister to expedite insurance payments, on September 16, Bao Viet Insurance Corporation's leadership, along with local subsidiaries, visited affected sites to assess the damage. They instructed insurance inspectors in Quang Ninh to swiftly carry out assessments and propose compensation plans, particularly for major economic hubs such as Sun World Ha Long amusement park, Hon Gai International Passenger Port, and the LPG storage facility in Quang Yen Town.
Currently, Bao Viet Quang Ninh and Bao Viet Dong Bac are accelerating the damage assessment process and guiding clients through the necessary documentation to facilitate timely compensation advances. The two subsidiaries encourage customers affected by the typhoon to contact their offices directly to complete the assessment procedures and ensure compensation is processed as quickly as possible, contributing to the region’s economic recovery.
After Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) made landfall and severely impacted northern provinces, including Hai Phong, Baoviet Hai Phong promptly took action, closely coordinating with customers to assess the damage and plan timely compensation.
