Scope of the insurance

Builders’ Risks Insurance covers partial damage or total (actual or constructive) loss to the ship being built, starting from the time of keel laid, continuing through the stages of manufacturing, installation, launching, testing on the sea and ending with handing over to the buyers of the completed ships.

This insurance covers the ship during processing at the shipyard or waters of shipyard or subcontractors and in the process of moving between such places. It also covers civil liability insurance (P&I) for shipbuilders as ship owners.
